I received my undergraduate degree from the University of California Berkeley and my graduate medical degree jointly from the University of California Los Angeles, David Geffen School of Medicine and the Charles R Drew University of Medicine and Science. I hold a Master’s in Business Administration from UCLA Anderson School of Business Management. I completed my psychiatric residency at UCLA Kern Psychiatric Residency Program in Bakersfield. I have worked and/or trained at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital, UCLA Reagan Hospital, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Kern Medical Center, Duke University Medical Center, King Drew Medical Center, Kaiser Sunset, Harbor UCLA Medical Center, Augustus Hawkins Psychiatric Hospital, Olive View Medical Center, West Hills VA Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center, and the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center and others.

I have published articles of medical research in peer reviewed journals and received awards for service in medicine from the American Medical Association, California Medical Association, and the Vice Surgeon General.

I am a native Los Angeleno, born at Cedars Sinai, and grew up in an artistic family with music industry ties.
